The Women’s Homelessness Initiative is a project established by Capitol Hill United Ministries (CHUM) to address the plight of homeless women. Its purpose is to provide sanctuary for twenty of those women, every night, year-round and offer them dignity, care, compassion, presence, and respect. Sixth Avenue UCC hosts WHI on Saturday nights of the even-numbered months.
