December 24th

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at 4:30 p.m.

The Lunch Brigade

Each month we partner with St. Paul’s ECC to provide 50 lunches for the women served at The Delores Project. We will gather in the kitchen at church to prepare the lunches.

Please join us if you are able on December 13 at 3:00 pm!

Theology on Tap

Once a month we gather with others from the Kirk of Bonnie Brae UCC to share our thoughts and wisdom around various topics and how our faith intersects them.

Children’s Corner

We are planning an exciting year of children’s ministry at 6th Avenue! Arden will be reading with our kids and talking about how the messages relate to their lives. If you would like to help, please consider contributing to our children’s library.

We are also planning special activities on the first Sunday of each month, including inviting our children to participate in communion.

If you would like to contribute a children’s ministry activity (i.e. a craft, song, acting out a Bible verse, game, etc.) please let Chris know, or click this link for our amazon wish list!

Opportunities

to Serve

Looking for a way to deepen your connection at Sixth?
We’re gathering a dynamic group of volunteers—long-time members, newer faces, and regular guests—to serve on four exciting ministry teams that are shaping the future of our community. Whether you’re a spreadsheet lover, a wordsmith, a creative brainstormer, or someone who just enjoys good conversation and meaningful impact, there’s a spot for you at the table.

Curious? Inspired? Ready to jump in?
Reach out to Sara Chatfield Gordon and let us know where your passion meets possibility.

Here’s what’s cooking:

🟣 Open and Affirming Team
Help us bring fresh, modern language to our church’s Open and Affirming statement. Two meetings max—make a big impact in a short time.

🟠 Stewardship Team
Shape the vision for our 2026 giving campaign. We’ll meet over the summer and fall to choose a theme and craft a campaign that reflects who we are and where we’re going.

🔵 Bylaws Team
It’s not glamorous—but it is vital. Help us revise our bylaws this fall so they reflect our vibrant, growing community and support where we're headed.

Let’s build what’s next—together.

Art and Faith Events

Every first Tuesday we are invited to participate in a monthly exercising of letting art speak to us

Tuesday, January 6th will be our next meeting. We gather at 6:00 p.m. in front of the museum. Visio Divina at the DAM (Denver Art Museum).
