 Meet our Minister of Music - Marcus Gilliland
Marcus Gilliland grew up in Colorado Springs. He has worked for over 15 years in various theatrical and musical settings. Marcus has been the music director at 6th Ave. UCC since 2007.

Music has always been a very integral part of worship at Sixth Avenue. Our organ is a two-manual, 10-rank Reuter Pipe Organ. It is the 342nd organ built by the Reuter Organ Company of Lawrence Kansas; it was installed in our church in 1929. There are only four older Reuter Pipe Organs in Colorado. The piano in our sanctuary is a 6 1/2-foot Baldwin Grand Piano.
Sixth Avenue United Church has been home to many musical performances over the years, and is used by several private and college music teachers for student recitals and master classes. The acoustics in the sanctuary are second to none in the Denver area for individual and small ensemble performances. For information about use of the sanctuary (or any of our other facilities) and rental fees, please contact our administrator.
